Alpha Delta Pi, the first secret society for women, was founded in 1851 on the principles of sisterhood, leadership, scholarship and service. Our chapter is the Zeta Delta chapter.  Zeta Delta provides leadership opportunities for members on campus as a group and as individuals. Sisters of Alpha Delta Pi are well represented across campus acting as leaders for organizations such as the Student Government Association, Panhellenic Council,  Order of Omega, Varsity Athletics, College Night and the list goes on.

As sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, we pride ourselves on our involvement, enthusiasm, and close bonds of sisterhood. Each year, Alpha Delta Pi hosts a number of different fundraising events for our national philanthropy, Ronald McDonald House Charities.  When not at our own philanthropy events, Alpha Delta Pi sisters can be seen supporting other fraternity and sorority philanthropies on campus. Alpha Delta Pi is a strong presence in the Panhellenic and Montevallo Greek Community and always looks forward to events like Greek Week and College Night.  Another important aspect of life as an Alpha Delta Pi is our social calendar. In addition to the various barbeques, themed mixers, and sports games with other fraternities and sororities, we hold several mixers each semester.  At the end of the fall semester, we hold a semi-formal event called Mallard Ball where sisters and their dates dress up in camo or other outdoor gear.  At the end of the spring semester, we hold a formal event at a different local venue each year.

Our open motto, “We Live for Each Other,” is exemplified in our sisterhood. Whether it’s hanging out in our chapter room, participating in on campus events, or taking advantage of the amazing opportunities here in the area, Alpha Delta Pi sisters are everywhere and always willing to lend a helping hand! Alpha Delta Pi sisterhood starts at Montevallo but continues far after graduation through our well-cultivated alumnae connections and lifelong friendships.

The Zeta Delta chapter of Alpha Delta Pi has received the accolade of "New Member of the Year" from Montevallo Panhellenic for three consecutive years and "Greek Woman of the Year" for the past two years. We are so proud of our sisters and all that they accomplish!
